Earlier this month Bromley played host to the borough’s first ever exhibition dedicated to hearing loss, tinnitus and earwax removal.
The team at Beckenham Hearing staged the day-long ‘Bromley Hearing Show’ at Langley Park Golf Club in Bromley, and attracted a large amount of interest from the local community.
The event was supported by a variety of hearing related organisations and officially opened by Cllr Christine Harris, Deputy Mayor of the London Borough of Bromley. Many of the attendees on the day were able to take advantage of an onsite hearing and ear health checks, as well as have the chance to speak with leading audiology experts.
Beckenham Hearing’s Owner/Director and Audiologist Neil Daniel, said, “My team and I are so delighted that the event was a real success. The response was beyond what we were expecting, and I lost track of the number of people we spoke to. We felt by organising something like this, that it would allow people to come and find out information without the pressure of going into a clinic room.”
One in six people in the UK experience hearing loss, which equates to over 51,000 people in the London Borough of Bromley alone.
