Tips and news to support your hearing health.
While local businesses may appear small compared to the national chains that dominate our high streets, they make a big difference in our communities.
Economic value is only part of what local businesses provide. They help bring our community together. They’re where we shop, dine and even work. Their unique flair, creativity and culture make our neighbourhoods a diverse and wonderful place to live.
As an independent business ourselves, we know how challenging it can be to operate in a world driven by price rather than value. Local businesses strive to offer a high-quality, personal service and form close-knit relationships, making them a vital part of our community.
Our Christmas Celebration at Prima Donnas
With this in mind, everyone at Beckenham Hearing likes to support other local businesses whenever we can. This isn’t limited to work; celebrations are equally as important!
For our Christmas meal this past December, we visited Prima Donnas, a Mediterranean restaurant located right here in West Wickham. We had read some impressive reviews and decided it would be perfect for our holiday get-together.
From the moment we walked in, the place felt warm and welcoming, and we immediately felt at ease. We didn’t feel like just another group of diners – it felt like we were amongst friends.

A Menu Full of Flavour
Prima Donnas has been part of the local area since 1993. The food is always fresh, the menu has plenty of options and the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. Founders Marino and Patrick offer several menus that are full of flavourful options, comprising classic dishes and newer additions that have quickly become customer favourites.
The à la carte menu has a bit of everything. Starters like tomato and onion bruschetta and fresh scallops with pancetta are popular, and mains range from seafood linguine and paella to chicken Milanese. A range of homemade desserts are a tasty way to finish the meal.
A Place for More Than Just Dinner
We could tell a lot of care went into the food. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and the food was excellent. It was a great chance for our team to unwind and enjoy some time together.
Yet Prima Donnas is more than a restaurant – it’s a place people come back to for celebrations and community get-togethers.
From New Year’s Eve dinners to seasonal events, it’s clear they enjoy being part of the local community. That’s one of the reasons our team had such a great time visiting.
If you’re planning a visit, it’s a good idea to book in advance.
And if you’ve never been before, then we encourage you to go and try their delicious food for yourself. We’d like to thank the Prima Donnas team for hosting our Christmas meal and for being so attentive to us throughout the evening.
Why We Love Local
As much as we enjoyed the great food at Prima Donnas, there’s more to them than just that. Local businesses like them remind us that it is the people and passion that make our community feel like home.
Each visit helps keep our local neighbourhoods vibrant and connected. We’re grateful to be part of a community with so many wonderful places to explore, and Prima Donnas is a perfect example of why shopping and dining local matters.
