Rest assured that we’ll keep tabs on their progress so you don’t have to worry about them.

Your hearing devices typically arrive sooner, so our team will perform a basic test to ensure your devices work as planned with our hearing aid testing box. Your devices will be put on charge and be ready to go for when you visit us for your fitting appointment, alongside our branded bag with some goodies inside:

  • A cleaning kit for your hearing aids

  • User guide

  • A Beckenham Hearing pen and branded trolley keyring

  • Sweets or chocolate, depending on your preference

  • The invoice for your devices, with highlighted serial number and model type so you can easily identify the information you need for your insurance

  1. Your Hearing Aid Fitting: Tailor-Made and Expert-Directed

On the day of your hearing aid fitting, you’ll come into our fitting room ready to go with your hearing aids connected to the computer, ready for Real-Ear Measurement and calibration to your prescription. With this expert-led approach to your hearing aid fitting, you can guarantee a comfortable fit that’s unique to your ears.

You’ll get detailed instructions and filmed demonstrations on your phone for cleaning your devices, changing filters, and putting in/taking out your hearing aids. With the videos saved to your own phone, you can replay guidance from us at any time.

Once your hearing aids are fitted and comfortable, we’ll find a comfortable starting level. This is usually around 80 percent of your full prescription level so that you aren’t immediately overwhelmed by new sounds.

When you’re happy with how your hearing aids fit and sound, we’ll take you out on our busy road to try your devices in the real world. If the sound of Kent’s traffic doesn’t immediately overpower your senses, you’ll have the chance to sign up for a two-week check-up to increase your prescription to 90 percent.

At your two-week check-up, your prescription will be increased to 90 percent, and you’ll get a refresher on cleaning and maintenance, as well as help with pairing your devices to your smartphone if requested.

You’ll then book in another two-week check-up to bring your prescription up to 100 percent and have a chance to get answers to any questions. Once you’re doing well with 100 percent of your prescription, we suggest you book in for your next follow-up in six months’ time, once you’ve had the chance to hear the life you love with your new devices at full capacity.
